The Bay Area Community of Mindful Living (BACML) is a gathering of “lay practitioners” who formerly met at Populace Café, now meeting at Unity. Following in the tradition of Vietnamese Buddhist monk, teacher, author, poet and peace activist, Thich Nhat Hanh, this community practices Mindfulness as a way to develop peace in one’s self and the world. All are welcome to come and practice.
Mindfulness is the practice of living with awareness to the present moment instead of in the past or future. Meetings are generally 60-90 minutes long and include sitting mindfulness meditation, a Dharma talk, discussion and loving-kindness meditation. All are welcome and a love offering is appreciated.
